Automotive Technician

Job Description
Pay: $17.00/hourly or more depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, extensive diagnostic procedures, necessary repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet state requirements for emissions and safety protocols.
Requirements:

Must have tools for this position.

Must be able to pass a background check, with no violent criminal history, no theft criminal history, and no drug charges.

Must be able to pass a drug panel, with no Medical Marijuana permitted.
Responsibilities:
-
Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including tire rotations, oil changes, transmission flushes, battery installations, front-end alignments, headlight/taillight installations, and air conditioner recharges on customer vehicles.

Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers' problems.

Provide accurate repair recommendations to fully solve or rectify customers' problems.

Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness or stability after repairs.

Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and company records.

Ensure every vehicle inspection is done according to state requirements for emissions and safety protocols.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

ASE certification preferred.

Previous experience as an automotive technician.

Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
