Construction Laborer – Commercial Waterproofing & Restoration

Location: Oklahoma City, OK & Surrounding Project Sites
Pay: Starting at $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Work Location: In Person / Field-Based

We are currently hiring dependable and hardworking Construction Laborers for immediate openings with a commercial construction team specializing in waterproofing, restoration, sealants, coatings, and new construction projects.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, being outdoors, learning a skilled trade, and building toward a long-term career in commercial construction.

Previous construction experience is preferred, but candidates with a strong work ethic, mechanical ability, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Paid training, overtime, incentive opportunities, pay increases, and advancement potential are available for employees who show up, work safely, and continue developing their skills.

Starting Pay

$19.00 per hour

What You'll Be Doing

Construction Laborers will work alongside experienced tradespeople on a variety of commercial construction, waterproofing, and restoration projects.

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with commercial waterproofing projects

  • Supporting building restoration work

  • Assisting with new commercial construction

  • Removing old or damaged caulking and sealants

  • Installing new caulking and sealant materials

  • Assisting with waterproofing membrane installation

  • Preparing surfaces before waterproofing or coating applications

  • Assisting with masonry restoration

  • Supporting flashing repairs

  • Assisting with deck coating applications

  • Helping repair and protect exterior building surfaces

  • Moving and staging construction materials

  • Measuring materials and work areas accurately

  • Cutting and preparing materials as directed

  • Using hand tools and power tools

  • Assisting skilled tradespeople with project-specific duties

  • Working from ladders, scaffolding, and mechanical lifts

  • Setting up and cleaning job-site work areas

  • Loading and unloading tools, equipment, and construction materials

  • Maintaining an organized and safe work environment

  • Following project instructions and supervisor direction

  • Completing additional construction duties as project needs change

 

Learn a Skilled Trade

This position offers more than basic general labor.

Employees will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with specialized commercial construction skills such as:

  • Waterproofing

  • Caulking

  • Sealant installation

  • Joint preparation

  • Commercial coatings

  • Deck coatings

  • Flashing

  • Masonry restoration

  • Building-envelope repair

  • Surface preparation

  • Construction measurement

  • Mechanical lift operation

  • Commercial job-site safety

Candidates who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn may have opportunities to move into more skilled and higher-paying responsibilities.

Work Environment

This is a physically demanding commercial construction position.

Candidates must be prepared to work:

  • Outdoors for extended periods

  • In changing weather conditions

  • On active commercial construction sites

  • At elevated heights

  • From ladders and scaffolding

  • From mechanical lifts

  • Around construction equipment and materials

  • During extended shifts when overtime is required

Employees should expect to remain physically active throughout the majority of the workday.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be capable of safely performing construction labor throughout the shift.

This includes the ability to:

  • Lift and carry 50+ pounds consistently

  • Bend

  • Kneel

  • Crouch

  • Reach

  • Climb

  • Push and pull materials

  • Stand for extended periods

  • Walk throughout active construction sites

  • Work from elevated areas

  • Use ladders safely

  • Operate or work from mechanical lifts as trained

  • Safely handle construction tools and materials

  • Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday

Direct waterproofing experience is helpful, but candidates with transferable construction experience are encouraged to apply.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to assigned work locations
