Job Opportunity: Experienced Diesel Mechanic

Position: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (4 days a week)

Safety Sensitive: Yes ( No medical marijuana allowed)

Experience: 3-5 years in the industry

Mandatory/Optional Overtime: Rarely required

National Background Check: Required

Position Summary:

Are you an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic with a passion for maintaining vehicles at their peak performance? We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team at Force Personnel As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, making a direct impact on our operations.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to identify faults.

  • Analyzing diagnostic test results to determine necessary repairs.

  • Replacing or repairing engine, steering, transmission, braking, or lighting system components.

  • Inspecting and ensuring the proper functioning of vehicle lighting systems.

  • Conducting test drives to assess vehicle performance.

  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.

  • Maintaining comprehensive records of all serviced vehicles.

  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.

  • Managing a parts inventory.

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the workshop.

Diesel Mechanic Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering (or equivalent).

  • ASE Diesel Certification (advantageous).

  • A valid driver's license.

  • Strong mathematical and scientific aptitude.

  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.

  • Proficiency with IT and diagnostic tools.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 150 pounds.

  • Skill in using maintenance and repair tools.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational abilities.
