Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Lead/Seed Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with experience in preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our equipment and trucks, as well as operating and maintaining a large capacity seed cleaner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment and trucks, both on location and in the field.

Repair and replace electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components.

Complete all other jobs, projects, and special assignments as directed by the Operations Manager.

Learn to operate and maintain a large capacity seed cleaner, including identifying crop and weed seed through training and research.

Source and order parts and equipment economically, consulting with the Operations Manager on larger purchases.

Keep thorough records of maintenance performed and related expenses.

Work within a team environment and interact with all areas of production effectively.

Assist co-workers with fertilizer, warehouse, and grounds maintenance operations as necessary.

Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.

 

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural environment.

Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills.

Experience in hydraulics, electrical repair, and welding/fabricating preferred.

Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Ability to operate a forklift and tractor.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

High degree of attention to detail, precision, and follow-through.

Ability to manage small projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently and complete daily tasks according to a work schedule.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

 

Physical Requirements:

Regularly work near moving mechanical parts.

May be required to work outside in various weather conditions.

May be required to climb stairs and ladders and work in high spaces.

Must be able to comfortably lift 50+ pound objects on a regular basis.

Work Schedule and Benefits:

Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch.

Saturday mornings from 8am to Noon, March through September.

Eligible for annual discretionary bonus.

98 hours of paid time off/year (increases to 147 hours after a year of full-time employment).
