Key Responsibilities: As a Saw Operator, your role is essential to our production process, and you'll be responsible for a range of duties, including:

• Reading and interpreting basic blueprints to determine cutting requirements.

• Safely operating a variety of saws to accurately cut steel materials to the specified measurements.

• Utilizing a hydraulic press for appropriate bending of materials.

• Maintaining equipment and keeping the work area clean and safe.

• Performing basic preventative maintenance on saw equipment.

• Ensuring compliance with safety practices, regulations, and codes, including OSHA requirements.

• Contributing to the team's success by accomplishing related tasks and results.

Abilities:

• Possess a mechanical inclination and aptitude for using various tools and equipment.

• Prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and review work for accuracy.

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders effectively.

• Understand and follow oral and written directions.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

• Maintain routine records and establish cooperative working relationships.

• Operate a forklift and overhead crane.

Physical Demands:

• Work involves standing, sitting, and/or walking.

• Requires effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.

• Utilizes hands for grasping and fine manipulations.

• Involves bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.

• Involves working around moving machinery, exposure to temperature changes, humidity variations, and dust, fumes, and gases.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.

• Proven experience using a band saw to accurately cut materials.
