We are currently seeking dependable, experienced, and safety-minded Construction General Laborers and Skilled Construction Workers for opportunities supporting our clients construction projects throughout the Oklahoma City area.
This is a higher-tier construction assignment intended for candidates who take their work seriously, understand the expectations of an active commercial jobsite, and can meet strict client screening and safety requirements.
We are looking for candidates who bring more than just a willingness to work.
The strongest applicants will have previous construction experience, a solid work history, dependable attendance, knowledge of basic construction tools, and the ability to follow directions while working safely around skilled tradespeople, equipment, and active construction operations.
Pay Based on Experience
Construction General Laborer — $16.00/Hour
This level is designed for candidates with previous construction, general labor, demolition, landscaping, maintenance, or other physically demanding hands-on experience.
General Laborers may assist experienced tradespeople while continuing to develop their construction skills.
Skilled Construction Worker — $18.00/Hour
The skilled rate is reserved for candidates who can demonstrate stronger construction knowledge and previous hands-on trade experience.
Candidates should be able to discuss and demonstrate their experience with construction tools, materials, measurements, jobsite procedures, or specific trades.
Skilled pay will be based on verified experience and demonstrated ability.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsibilities will vary based on the project, construction phase, and needs of the assigned crew.
Duties may include:
Assisting with commercial construction projects
Performing general construction labor
Supporting carpenters and other skilled tradespeople
Preparing work areas before construction begins
Loading and unloading construction materials
Moving and staging materials throughout the jobsite
Maintaining organized material and equipment areas
Performing demolition and cleanup work
Removing construction debris
Assisting with framing and carpentry work
Helping with concrete preparation and placement
Assisting with formwork
Performing basic measuring and layout
Cutting materials according to supervisor instructions
Operating common hand tools
Operating approved power tools
Assisting with installation work
Helping assemble or dismantle temporary structures
Supporting ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work when properly trained
Maintaining clean walkways and safe work areas
Following superintendent, foreman, and supervisor instructions
Participating in daily safety procedures
Reporting unsafe conditions immediately
Completing additional construction duties as project needs change

Pre-Employment Screening Requirements
This assignment requires a higher level of pre-employment screening than many standard construction positions.
Candidates must successfully complete all required screening before being placed on assignment.
Requirements include:
National criminal background check
10-panel drug screen
Social Security number verification
E-Verify / employment authorization verification
Review of applicable criminal-history information
Any additional project-specific screening required by Nabholz
Additional screening may be required depending on the specific project location.
For example, school, healthcare, financial, government, or other regulated projects may carry additional eligibility requirements.
Background Screening
Background results are reviewed according to the requirements established by Nabholz and the specific project.
Certain criminal convictions may affect eligibility depending on:
Type of offense
Severity
Age of the offense
Number of offenses
Relationship of the offense to the work
Specific project requirements
Candidates should not assume they automatically qualify or automatically fail based only on having a prior conviction.
Final eligibility will be determined after the required background screening and review process has been completed.
Drug Screening
Candidates must successfully complete the required 10-panel drug screen before beginning work.
Because this is a safety-sensitive position, employees must meet the client's drug-free workplace requirements.
A medical marijuana card does not automatically exempt a candidate from the drug-testing requirements applicable to this safety-sensitive assignment.
Candidates should understand and accept the screening requirements before moving forward with the hiring process.
