Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience
Employment Type: Temporary-to-Hire

 

Position Overview

 

A well-established Oklahoma City company is seeking a dependable, career-minded individual to join its team. This position will begin as a hybrid office and warehouse role before developing into a primarily administrative, sales, and operations-focused position.

 

The selected candidate will work closely with company management and learn multiple areas of the business. For the right person, this position offers the opportunity to take on increasing leadership responsibilities and potentially advance into a management role in the future.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enter customer, product, and order information accurately

  • Process and review customer orders

  • Audit orders for accuracy before completion or delivery

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers professionally

  • Provide basic inside sales and customer service support

  • Communicate with customers regarding products, orders, and availability

  • Assist with order picking and warehouse operations when needed

  • Verify that picked orders match customer requests

  • Maintain organized and accurate records

  • Learn company products, procedures, and daily operations

  • Support management with administrative and operational responsibilities

  • Take on additional leadership duties as knowledge and experience increase

 

Initial Training Period

During the first several weeks, this position will include work in both the office and warehouse. This hands-on training will help the selected candidate understand the company’s products, order process, inventory, and overall operation.

Candidates must be physically capable of assisting in the warehouse and performing order-picking duties when needed. Even after transitioning into a more office-focused role, occasional warehouse assistance may still be required.

 

Schedule and Overtime

The regular schedule is:

Monday through Friday
7:00 AM–4:00 PM
One-hour lunch break

Mandatory overtime may occasionally be required based on business needs. Overtime may include additional weekday hours or occasional weekend work. Candidates must have reasonable schedule flexibility.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong recent and verifiable work history

  • Consistent attendance and dependability

  • Accurate data-entry and order-entry skills

  • Basic computer and office equipment experience

  • Professional phone and customer service skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers

  • Willingness to assist in both office and warehouse environments

  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to identify and correct order discrepancies

  • Interest in sales, operations, and future leadership responsibilities

  • Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment

  • Desire to build a stable, long-term career

Previous experience in office administration, order processing, inside sales, customer service, inventory, shipping, receiving, building materials, millwork, or warehouse operations is helpful but not required.

 

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand and walk throughout the warehouse as needed

  • Bend, reach, and perform routine warehouse movements

  • Pick, handle, and verify customer orders

  • Safely lift and move materials associated with the position

  • Work in both office and warehouse conditions

Screening Requirements

Candidates must be able to successfully complete:

  • A pre-employment drug screening

Background history will be reviewed individually based on the nature, age, frequency, and job-relatedness of any offenses. The company is primarily seeking candidates with a stable recent work history who have demonstrated reliability and positive progress.

 

Temporary-to-Hire Opportunity

 

This position is expected to remain a temporary assignment for approximately three to six months. After successfully completing the evaluation period, the selected candidate may become eligible for permanent employment with the client company.

Pay and Advancement

Starting pay will range from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

The company regularly recognizes strong performance. Merit- and production-based raises may be available for employees who demonstrate reliability, accuracy, initiative, and continued growth.

This position is intended to develop over time. The successful candidate may gradually take on additional sales, operational, supervisory, and management responsibilities.
